Planet 51

“Planet 51”

Greetings fellow Earth Movie Travelers,

~~If this is your first time reading a Movie Alien travel blog entry, please visit the “About Movie Alien” page to learn more about the purpose of these transmissions.

My latest DVD voyage brought me to the world of “Planet 51”. The world of “Planet 51” was a fun, youngling-friendly place to visit with a group of inhabitants who have a protected knowledge of their galactic surroundings. Like humans, these little green men and women suspect that they are not the only intelligent life in the galaxy. But their planet has never officially met an alien species so they let their fears take control of their imaginations of just such an encounter. They suspect that any contact with intelligent life beyond their own species will be a horrific experience.

So when this light-hearted voyage my Human Host and I were enjoying landed right next to a very Human Astronaut exploring “Planet 51” for the first time, the reaction from the local green men is paranoia that they are being invaded by terrifying aliens. The irony for the Alien Traveler in me is that the same fear and paranoia is apparent on Earth and is why all alien species currently on Earth with their Human Hosts remain buried in the subconscious mind. It is just too dangerous too risk exposure.

What begins as a hysterical planet thinking they are in the grips of an alien invasion turns in to a youngling-friendly vacation of assumptions and lessons about first impressions and preconceived influences as one of the little green men learns that the Human Astronaut is not a terrifying space creature and is actually a pretty decent guy. While the destination is clever and the sights were vibrant and creative, I was left with a travel experience that felt mostly expressed in worlds where it is a Human population that experiences a misunderstood Alien resonate better.

Overall – this trip to a new Alien Planet was fun but could be missed for a return trip to the world of “E.T.” - especially if you have younglings of your own who have never had the pleasure of visiting the “E.T.” star system. I would give “Planet 51” a 60% rating for a pleasurable world with a well traveled and uninspired travel scene.

Take care and safe travels,

Alice in Wonderland

“Alice in Wonderland”

Greetings fellow Earth Movie Travelers,

~~If this is your first time reading a Movie Alien travel blog entry, please visit the “About Movie Alien” page to learn more about the purpose of these transmissions.

I finished a voyage to “Alice in Wonderland” earlier today and I what I saw was visually striking, but I left the craft with a bit of a hollow feeling.

“Alice in Wonderland” has been a popular Earth Movie destination for quite some time now. The world is well known to many Human Hosts and the Alien Traveler’s who abscond with their subconscious. Previous journeys have had varying degrees of success and fanfare. My Human Host has a fondness for a particular journey that originated in 1951.

So when my Human Host and I discovered that there was going to be a brand new, elaborate expedition to this wonderful, creative world – we were both excited. Through mind control and careful observation of my Human Host’s conscious decisions, I managed to thoroughly keep advanced knowledge of the brand new “Alice in Wonderland” experience to an absolute minimum. I did catch brief glimpses of the world before my journey and what I saw had me very excited.

The whole purpose for me and my Human Host to visit this fantastical island paradise is to be able to experience a world so unlike any other, but so imaginatively real that you capture and explore your own sense of wonderment.

This “Wonderland” did not completely achieve that goal for me. Sure it was visually astounding! One of the most lavish, creative, and ~wonderful~ worlds I have traveled to – but is that enough? I did not feel my wonderment being captured and taken away to this magical world. I felt like Alice and I were both kind of trapped by a sense of confusion about why the whole travel experience was taking place. But unlike Alice, when the realization came to her why she was there, I was already wondering if I had booked a journey to “Confusionland”, and that’s not where I wanted to travel to.

Don’t get me wrong – it was an incredibly beautiful journey. It just felt misguided in how it presented its attachments to my senses of wonder and my emotions. I would still give it a boisterous 65% travel rating for me, but I wish I could have given it a much, much higher rating by the end.

Ponyo

“Ponyo”

Greetings fellow Earth Movie Travelers,

~~If this is your first time reading a Movie Alien travel blog entry, please visit the “About Movie Alien” page to learn more about the purpose of these transmissions.

While the Human Host I utilize is best suited for Earth Movie subconscious travel to destinations designed for thrills, action, and suspense – I did manage to secure a travel companion who is able to freely express his desire to experience all types of Earth Movie travel, which is how I found myself on a DVD flight to “Ponyo”

The journey to “Ponyo” took me to a magical land in a region of space and time reserved for the young at heart. The world itself is a world that exists around the ocean. The locals I witnessed all live by the sea and enjoy a lifestyles supported by the bounty and the connection to a huge expanse of blue water. The local I found myself spending most of my journey with was a little boy of five whose father is a ship captain and whose mother helps take care of the island’s elderly.

The little boy is an independent spirit and was a joy to travel with. But the real magic came when the little boy saves a strange magical creature from the ocean and develops a unique bond with the creature – which he names Ponyo. It turns out Ponyo is quite intelligent, youthful, and precocious youngster herself. Once the little boy shows his love for his new friend, the fantastical spirit from the sea yearns to be a little girl so she can be human like her friend. The rest of my journey I spent as witness to the forces of nature and love working together to find a way for that to happen.

“Ponyo” was a refreshing break from the Earth Movie destinations I have been traveling to lately and reminded me that all the complications that adult intelligent beings endure when they search for love is still complicated for kids. The big difference is that kids can accept that sometimes it’s the forces of nature that bring us together and try and tear us apart and love is a product of faith.

I thoroughly enjoyed my magical subconscious journey to “Ponyo” and would rate my experience at 80%. If you have a young Alien Traveler with you, this movie is a perfect subconscious experience into viewing the nature of uncomplicated love.

The Crazies

“The Crazies”

Greetings fellow Earth Movie Travelers,

~~If this is your first time reading a Movie Alien travel blog entry, please visit the “About Movie Alien” page to learn more about the purpose of these transmissions.

On my most recent Earth Movie vacation I journeyed to an idyllic small town that would have been just at home in Middle America. It was a nice place. All the folks in town new each other by name. The town baseball team’s first game signaled the start of spring. And the Sheriff of the town is a sound, honest man who is married to the town doctor.

I thought this would be a great way to spend some time off Earth with my Human Host; peaceful, relaxing, low-stress, normal... but then people started to go crazy. Then the journey got chaotic – but since I had booked an Earth Movie travel vessel with the name “The Crazies” it was what I had expected. I found myself under attack from a mysterious biological force that turned everyday, normal people into violent lunatics. It starts off with just one guy with a shotgun wandering out on to the baseball field during the big game and escalates into absolute mayhem.

The trouble for me with this Earth Movie experience is that often I felt like I was just being taken on a tour of the maddening without ever really seeing the chaos descend. One minute the town seemed fine. The next minute, after a confrontation with a crazy, everything has changed with little explanation or surprise from those who are not infected. But I didn’t package the Earth Movie, so maybe Alien Travelers who enjoy a little less story and a lot of thriller maneuvers will enjoy this subconscious experience more than I did.

I’ve been to plenty of zombie infected planets; once a world is infected it’s nearly impossible to get rid of all of those reanimated dead. This peaceful little town in a normal Earth-like world feels like it can be compared to those much more terrifying zombie worlds once things really started getting crazy. As an Alien Traveler visiting “The Crazies”, it did have worthy moments of escape that made the Travel Journey worth a 50% rating.

"Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant"

“Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant”

Greetings fellow Earth Movie Travelers!

~~If this is your first time reading a Movie Alien travel blog entry, please visit the “About Movie Alien” page to learn more about the purpose of these transmissions.

There is a fascinating corner of the known universe that comprises of two major galaxies with habitable (and travel-able) solar systems that have populations of vampires. Your Human Host might be wondering – Alien Travelers don’t have to worry about vampires? Do they?

Well, the idea of vampirism is not unique to planets of Human origin. In fact, there are many sentient beings that fear or desire what vampirism brings to their communities and their culture.

There are two major types of vampire tourism originating from Earth Movies – those that inspire fear and those that inspire desire. In recent years you may have noticed a tremendous amount of travel opportunities to the “Twilight” system which in turn inspired similar travel destinations. Even Earth Movies with worlds that fear having a predator more powerful than Aliens or Human have surged in recent years.

Then there is the occasional fringe planet in this Vampire-based corner of the galaxy that represents neither. That is where the journey “Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant” took me and my Human Host. The one refreshing attraction of the journey, the Circus of Freaks, was merely a backdrop to the melodrama of a just plain silly mix of Vampires that were neither frightening nor fascinating.

By the end of the journey I had to will my Human Host to not fall asleep. I give this one a 25% rating and must warn fellow Alien Travelers that an active subconscious in your Human Host will certainly cause this ride to be uncomfortable.

Shutter Island

“Shutter Island”

Greetings fellow Earth Movie Travelers,

~~If this is your first time reading a Movie Alien travel blog entry, please visit the “About Movie Alien” page to learn more about the purpose of these transmissions.

“Shutter Island” is a brand new voyage embarking from your Human Host’s local theatre this weekend. I just returned from an enjoyable experience with this sturdy, well crafted vehicle as it compelled travelers to examine the nature of the conscious psyche and its fragility when placed next to trauma or stressful memories.

Out of all the mysteries we share in this complex dimension that we all call home, none is more puzzling than our ability to relate to self-awareness. For most, the “self” is always a work in progress and the joy of life is found in what we personally find meaning in. The process of creating meaning is a personal experience for everyone with a mind.

But sometimes we visit conscious beings who have lost touch with their realities and their sense of “self” to understand how fragile our own lives can be without love, family and friends.

The voyage to “Shutter Island” is shared with Teddy Daniels. Teddy has traveled through his home solar system to a remote planetoid known as “Shutter Island” on official police business. “Shutter Island” is a place for the criminally insane and resembles a fifties era Earth. A prisoner/patient has escaped and it is Teddy’s responsibility to discover what happened to her. It is the start of the technology revolution and like Earth, the world here has unlocked the secrets of the atomic bomb. Paranoia is commonplace and psychiatrics is an evolving field of study.

But after spending a short time with Teddy Daniels on his journey, it becomes obvious that the he has ulterior motives on the desolate island. His past is linked to the place. But to tell you more about where I saw Teddy go would only take away from your own experience with “Shutter Island”. This is a cerebral thrill ride for Alien Travelers.

Overall, I would rate my voyage at 75% and be prepared to find out what lurks in the minds of men. Just don’t try to over think and enjoy the voyage.

Hunger

“Hunger”

Greetings fellow Alien Travelers,

~~If this is your first time reading a Movie Alien travel blog, please visit the About Page to learn more about what this is about.

The beauty of the Earth Movie Travel experience is that they allow Alien Travelers and their Human Hosts near limitless choices in their travel destinations. Of course, the more challenging places to visit in this dimension are often the ones that find the least available Human Hosts willing to travel there.

Such is the case in “Hunger”.

“Hunger” takes you to a time and place in a galaxy that closely resembles factual events on Earth. This intense and personal dramatic travel journey is vivid, shocking, and morally uncompromising in its temporal pattern of showing an act of defiance by a rebellious force contesting their rights to civic galactic liberties in the face of a pluralistic regime. If your Human Host is conscious during your travel, they will be witness to a period of recent Earth History known as the Irish Republican Army Hunger Strike.

It is an easier journey for your Human Host to make when the adventure you subject their subconscious to takes a more obvious moral path to a universal concept like right and wrong, especially when you are traveling to a prison planet.

But in “Hunger”, the two forces at war equally believe they are representing the actions that best represent their cause. Orders are carried out and the results are shocking and realistic. The tone of the travel experience does not cross in to preach or moral outrage or even indignation. The moral compass is simply provided as an elegantly personal moment between a political leader and a priest debating the spiritual nature of the political leader's decision to enact an uncompromising hunger strike.

Everything is barbaric. And no one seems to be willing to secede to the either moral authority – and by authority, I simply mean the intergalactic paradigm of treat others how you wish to be treated. If you starve the body, sure the fissures can be sealed and amended. But if you starve the soul, then you only deprive yourself.

A very powerful travel experience and I would rate it at 90%. But I would recommend it to Alien Travelers who can subject their Human Host’s subconscious to the powerful forces at work that drove the inhabitants of this lonely, prison planet to be forced into this situation. You will arrive safely back at home, but the emotions elicited from this journey might stay with you for a while.
